I got tagged on Facebook to write this…
- I don’t have a middle name.
- I used to want to work in the film industry, but then the internet came along and I’ve been doing that ever since. The internet industry is better because it’s more democratic than film. I think good ideas stand a much better chance of success on-line.
- I used to want to be a graphic designer until I realised I was better at managing design projects.
- I like music, but I can’t dance.
- I like to read, but I never find the time.
- I like Joanna Newsom, a lot.
- I’m really into Benga, Kode9, Skream and the Dub Step lot, but I lazily rely on my buddy for links and updates on new material.
- I hate plot-less ensemble movies like Magnolia and Crash. You know, where stuff just happens, and it’s all related and we’re all fucked.
- I like movies like The Hudsucker Proxy, The Shawshank Redemption, It’s a Wonderful Life and Slumdog Millionaire.
- It’s probably the only business book I’ve ever read, but the The Seven-Day Weekend by Ricardo Semler is brilliant and endlessly fascinating to me.
- Weirdly, I still have a single, functioning milk tooth.
- I took 3 attempts to pass my driving test.
- I like to go surfing, despite being scared of drowning.
- I generally feel very lucky, especially in love.
- I hate the 9 to 5 grind, offices and stay-late culture. It’s bad for your health!
- One of the best things I ever did was arrange a 3 month backpacking trip to South East Asia with my two younger brothers.
- I hate shows like Grey’s Anatomy.
- I’m English, but I really enjoy using Americanisms when I speak. Like ‘shows’ instead of ‘programmes’. Not sure why, but I get a kick out of using them as much as possible.
- I love Marmite.
- I have a serious butter habit. Slicing it like cheese instead of spreading.
- I drink a little too much, but I try to take a full month off the booze once a year.
- I’m almost certain I’m dyslexic when it comes to filling out forms or dealing with any kind of paperwork. I’m terrible at it and the pile I’m looking at on my desk makes me very anxious.
- I don’t believe in God or an after life. I used to, but I don’t any more.
- This is it, and that’s okay.
- These days I feel more balanced, clear and certain than ever before – all thanks to my wonderful girlfriend.
